SWRCB-CUF#:003668 <br /> Stockton , CA. 95219 Global ID#: T0607700310 <br /> The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed Work Plan to <br /> Conduct Ozone Bench Scale Treatability Testing (Plan) dated November 20, 2008 and has the <br /> following comments . <br /> The Plan was submitted as a requirement of the EHD after it was determined by your consultant, <br /> ATC Associates Inc., that in-situ chemical oxidant (ozone injection) was the most feasible and <br /> cost-effective remedial alternative for mitigating the contamination in the soil and ground water, <br /> beneath this site . <br /> The Plan calls for collecting soil samples from two areas on the levee at the west edge of the site. <br /> Split soil samples will be collected from 10- 15 feet below ground surface ('bgs) from an area <br /> impacted by chemicals of concern (SB-38) and from an area not impacted by chemical of concern <br /> (SB-39). One set of samples will be sent to Prima Environmental and utilized in the ozone bench <br /> scale test and the other set of samples sent to PTS Laboratories for chemicals of concern <br /> analyzes . <br /> A report of findings will be generated after completion of the field work and submitted to the EHD <br /> for review. If. approved , an ozone pilot test work plan will be submitted to the EHD for review. <br /> The Plan is adequate and necessary and approved. [H&S Code 25296. 10(c)(3)] .
