Page I of 5
r.
Mike Infurna [EH]
From : Mike Infurna [EH]
Sent: Tuesday, July 15 , 2008 8 : 15 AM
To : 'jean ne . homsey@atcassociates .com'
Subject: RE : KI soil spread .
Tuesday am .
I got your phone message regarding some confusion on my last email .
the well installation was for defining the dissolved petro plume by providing gw
samples in areas and at depths of concern . It goes w/o saying , the gw data doesn 't
arrive right away as well as the interpretations of that data . It takes a few quarters ,
if not a full annual period to confirm the gw status at these points . But the soil data
from the wells' installation arrives as quickly as the lab turnaround time provides .
This data is to be in the report of findings for the well installations and I don 't see
this report waiting until development and first quarterly gw sampling are completed .
with this in mind , I expect the report of findings , in this case an updated SCM , to be
ready for GT review by the date I directed . I ' m not expecting gw data . I ' m not
expecting well development data . I ' m looking to see that the soil impact is either
defined or very close to it. The gw plume delineation evaluation will come as
quarterly data becomes available and determine whether or not additional soil
investigation is warranted .
I hope this clears up the rationale of why I concluded that the field work is done
when the last well is grouted up .
From : Jeanne Homsey [mailto:jeanne . homsey@atcassociates.com]
Sent: Monday, July 14, 2008 5 : 01 PM
To: Mike Infurna [EH]
Subject: RE : KI soil spread .
Thank you - we'll check it out and get back to you shortly.
Jeanne
From : Mike Infurna [EH] [mailto : MInfurna@sjcehd .com]
Sent: Monday, July 14, 2008 4 : 36 PM
To: jeanne. homsey@atcassociates .com
Subject: FW : KI soil spread .
PS . .
I forgot has to have their input . Check and verify you don 't need
9 P Y
an exemption to spread the soil . I ' ll need their signoff/comments before I can
7/16/2008
