The
Work Plan proposes three shallow zone and three deep zone monitoring wells to delineate the lateral and
vertical extent of pollution. In addition to the monitoring wells,H&H Marina proposes to install one
shallow zone extraction well for the purpose of testing extraction as a remedial alternative.
The Work Plan does not propose a monitoring well east of the drainage ditch. H&H Marina needs to
install an additional well to the east of the drainage ditch to verify and monitor previous detections in
this area.
The Work Plan is hereby approved provided that a shallow zone monitoring well is installed east of the
drainage ditch and the well specifications and grouting meet San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department requirements. By 12 August 2002, please submit an investigation report detailing the field
activities and sampling results. The investigation report needs to include a schedule to submit a
feasibility study for site remediation. The investigation report should be prepared in general accordance
with the attached Items To Be Included In A Site Assessment Report.
