(Condor);
• 21 November 2001 Ground Water Monitoring Report— Third Quarter 2001 (Third QMR)
submitted by Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE);
• 21 February 2002 Ground Water Monitoring Report—Fourth Quarter 2001 (Fourth QMR)
submitted by AGE; and
• 6 March 2002 Soil and Groundwater Investigation Report(Report) submitted by AGE.
The Second, Third and Fourth QMRs discuss groundwater monitoring activities conducted in June,
September, and December 2001, respectively. The Report describes the soil and groundwater results
collected from 10 borings, which is based on approval of the 7 May 2001 Work Plan Additional
Groundwater Investigation (Work Plan) submitted by Condor.
We have the following comments on these reports:
1. The Second QMR reported tetrachloroethene (PCE) analyzed by EPA Method 8260 in
monitoring well MW-3 at 23 micrograms per liter. The Third and Fourth QMRs also ran
samples by Method 8260, but did not include confirmation of this PCE detection. H&H Marina
must confirm the detection of PCE in each of the site monitoring wells.
2. The method detection limits required by Monitoring and Reporting Program No. 5-01-835 have
not been met for fuel oxygenates in site monitoring wells.
California Environmental Protection Agency
01 Recycled Paper
The energy challenge facing California is real. Every Californian needs to take immediate action to reduce energy consumption.
For a list of simple ways you can reduce demand and cut your energy costs,see our Web-site at hUp://www.swrcb.ca.gov/rwgcb5
