described in Section 1.0 of this report, the Work Plan was approved by the PHS/EHD and the Reclamation District in July, 1997. In accordance with the work plan, Condor conducted an additional soil and groundwater investigation on September 10, 15, and 18, 1997, at the site. Four monitor wells were drilled, installed, developed, surveyed, and sampled as part of the investigation. The Report-Additional .Soil anti Groundwater Investigation, dated December 11, 1997, was prepared by Condor describing the investigation results. Laboratory analysis of the soil samples indicated that total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as kerosene, diesel. and motor oil (TEPH), ethanol,tertiary butanol, DIPS, ETBE and(TAME) were not detected at or above the laboratory reported detection limits in any of the samples collected from the monitoring wells during the September, 1997, sampling event. BTEX, TPH-G, and MTBE were not detected at or above the laboratory reported detection limits in the soil sample collected from NIW-I at a depth of six feet bas. Benzene, ethyl benzene and xylene were not detected at or above the laboratory reported detection limits in the soil sample collected from MW-2 at a depth of four feet bgs. Toluene, TPH-G and MTBE were detected in the soil sample collected from MW-2 at a depth of four feet bgs (16 I.tg/kg, 1.2 mg/kg and 1,300 µg/kg, respectively). Benzene and toluene were not detected at or above the raised laboratory repotted detection limit in the soil sample collected from MW-4 at a depth of six feet bgs. MTBE was not detected at or above the laboratory reported detection limit in the sample collected from MW-4 at a depth of six feet. Ethyl benzene, xylene and TPH-G were detected in the soil sample collected from MW-4 at a depth of six feet (680 µg/kg, 6,000 µ/kg, and 28 mg/kg, respectively). A summary of the laboratory analytical results of the soil samples are presented below in Table B.5.
