The Work Plan and Walk
d..t.tn Plan Addendum were prepared by Condor Earth Technologies,Inc.(Condor)at your request and were, with
madificatiuns, subsequently approved by you. The approved scope ofwark for the site consisted generally of a
groundwater receptor survey, sampling and analyses of pro-and post-meaanent facility drinking water samples, and
additional groundwater investigation in the eastern portion ofthe site. fhe additional groundwater investigation
3 included soil and groundwater sample collection at nine shallow,direct-push borings. Your letter dated June 30,
2000,indicated that vertical groundwater investigation was required in addition to the original scope of work. This
letter is intended to provide a summary of the work completed,to date, and to describe the additional,out-of-scepe
_WOJLP
vertical groundwater characterization that you requested.
 Status Report
( p ! ,- ; s.r./n Condor conducted a groundwater receptor survey within a 1,000-foot radius of the site in the winter of 1998. Laboratory analyses indicated
tt that a low concentration of MTBE was detected in the pre-treatment water sample and low concentrations of
chloroform, bromodichloromethene, and dibromochloromethane were detected in the post-treatment drinking water
sample. A description of the sampling procedures, the sampling locations, and the laboratory analytical results of
^ p
the drinking water samples were included in the Report-Quarter/y Groundwaier Monitoring,Third Queerer.199,4,
MV.
1 r 0 dated November 23,1998 and prepared by Condor.
T7 pt H eL Amendment to Work Plan and Work Plan Addendum
t2 / The original scope of work for MTBE plume definition as proposed in the Work Plan,as modified by the Work
FJC:, Plan Addendum, and subsequently approved by you included the advancement of nine shallow direct push timings.
 lPl=
Ts ENVIRONMENTAL GEOLOGICAL ENGINEERING GEOTECHNICAL
t v hltp:/[WxxcondommtJr.com
mv
?%lob ,6t ON
ff 011 `t 3" QmE 2tvasvr I'm
'
