' • Herman&Helen's Marina—Work Plan Additional Soil and Groundwater Investigation ' Surface Water Sampling May 27,1998 Page-5- 3.6 LABORATORY ANALYSIS The soil samples collected from the borings will be analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-G) by Method 5030/LUFT, for benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene, and xylene (BTEX) ' EPA Method 8020, and for gasoline oxygenates/additives by EPA Method 8260. The gasoline oxygenates/additives include Methyl tertiary-Butyl Ether (MTBE), Ethanol, tertiary-Butanol, Di- isopropyl ether(DIPE), Ethyl tertiary-Butyl Ether(ETBE), and tertiary-amyl Methyl Ether(TAME). The surface water samples and the groundwater samples collected from the borings will be analyzed for TPH- G by Method 5030/LUFT, for BTEX by EPA Method 602, and for gasoline oxygenates/additives by EPA Method 8260. Monitoring should be in accordance with sampling procedures included in Work Plan - Monitor Well Installation, dated May 30, 1997, prepared by Condor. The work plan was approved by Mr. Rowe of the PHS/EHEI in correspondence dated July 8, 1997. The surface water sampling procedures outlined in Section 3.4 should be incorporated into the quarterly groundwater monitoring program established for this site. The first surface water sampling event should coincide with next quarterly monitoring event scheduled for June, ' 1998, if this work plan is expeditiously approved,and continue on a quarterly basis. i� CONDOR
