• Latex overboots shall be removed upon exiting any exclusion zone. <br /> ALTERNATIVE: Overboots may be washed in soap solution in a wash tub. <br /> • Non-disposable rubber boots shall be washed in soap solution in a wash tub <br /> EACH TIME wearer Ieaves exclusion zone. <br />' Personnel who have removed or decontaminated boots, but who are wearing <br /> Level D exclusion zone PPE, must proceed on foot directly to the next <br />' exclusion zone. <br /> 12.2 When personnel are leaving a work area for any destination outside of a work zone, <br />' the following procedures shall be in effect: <br /> • All duct tape is removed and discarded in designated disposal bag. <br /> • Latex overboots are removed and discarded in designated disposal bag. <br /> (ALTERNATIVE: Non-disposable rubber boots shall be washed in soap <br /> solution in wash tub.) <br /> • Outer gloves are removed and discarded in designated disposal bag. <br /> • Coveralls are removed and discarded in lip <br /> ' g P g designated disposal bag. <br /> Inner gloves are removed and discarded in designated disposal bag. <br /> • Personnel shall proceed to nearest hand/face washing facilities before <br />' consuming food, beverages or tobacco products. <br /> t If only light contact with excavation materials has occurred, latex overboots, <br /> coveralls and outer gloves may be set aside and reused during the next work <br /> period after a break. <br />' NOTE: It is anticipated that all disposable components of the Level D ensemble will be used for a <br /> maximum of 4-5 hours before being discarded, since they will be discarded at lunch and at the end of <br /> the work day. Items that become torn or grossly contaminated will be replaced as needed. <br /> 1 13.0 JOB TASK HAZARDS <br />' The following hazards may be encountered in this: <br /> 131 Slippery Surfaces <br />' All employees must.wear American National Standards Institute (ANSI)-approved <br /> work boots with steel toe protection.
