Additional soil samples
f
were taken in accordance with the referenced Work Plan on September 10, 1991.
Tanks 6 and 16 are recommended to be backfilled, compacted, and closed. Tank 5
will need additional excavation. The soil sample results from;the drilling work
and as reported by Curtis and Tompkins indicate that there has been no vertical
migration of the chemicals from the Tank 5 site.:
l Additionally, there appears to be no horizontal migration to the north or South
of the Tank 5 excavation. There is no data to the west (El Dorado St.) or to the
east (the foundation of the existing building is exposed by the tank excavation).to
determine horizontal migration. The assumption is that there has been no
migration based on the borings placed north and south of the tank site.
Please call if you have any questions or require further information.
Sincerely,
MILLER ENGINEERING
Dennis Miller
Engineer
j
•
