All water must be <br /> checked prior to being pumped to ensure that no oil is being <br /> discharged into the environment. This is a regulatory issue that <br /> must be documented and recorded after every event. <br /> 4.Check containment and sump. Verify that containment is free of <br /> any cracks,concrete spalling and corrosion. Clean as needed. <br /> 5.Verify that tank support structure is free of cracks and corrosion. <br /> Check condition of grounding cable and straps. <br /> 6.Verify that tank foundation is free of any cracks,corrosion and <br /> that all grouting is intact.Check condition of anchoring fasteners. <br /> 7.Perform general housekeeping as needed for the immediate area. <br /> Ensure that area is free of any debris and flammable materials. <br /> 8.Verify that tank coating is in good condition.Verify that tank <br /> placards and signage are in good condition. <br /> 9.Report all issues to your direct supervisor for follow-up and <br /> corrective action.
