PHS/EHD has a contract with
California State Water Resources Control Board to conduct an
underground storage tank corrective action program. The above
referenced site was placed in the PHS/EHD Local Oversight Program
(LOP) in April 1991 .
PHS/EHD has completed review of the file for the above referenced
site. Required QUARTERLY REPORTS are being submitted. The reports
for 1996 indicate a shift in groundwater gradient and a rise in
static water levels in all wells on site . Groundwater gradient is
now being reported as easterly. Complete definition of groundwater
contamination in the current downgradient direction does not exist .
PHS/EHD concurs with Advanced GeoEnvironmental recommendation to
install necessary wells to further delineate the contamination
plume that may have migrated downgradient from VW-3 .
A work plan and permit application must be submitted to EHD for
review and permit issuance . Once a permit has been issued, work
can be scheduled.
Pursuant to Section 2652 (d) of the Underground Storage Tank
Regulations (California Code of Regulations, Title 23 , Subchapter
16) a quarterly monitoring report shall be submitted to PHS/EHD and
the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Board until the
investigation and cleanup of the site is deemed adequate .
PHS/EHD records reflect a business change at this site . Please
supply this office with current updated information as soon as
possible .
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
