E1 Dorado Street
Stockton, CA 95203-3407
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) is
the lead agency providing the oversight of the
investigation and cleanup of releases from underground
storage tanks (USTs) within San Joaquin County.
EHD staff and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control
Board (CVRWQCB) staff have discussed the information
submitted for this site, including the Final Remediation
Plan (FRP) prepared by Advanced GeoEnvironmental (AGE)
dated April 23 , 2002 . EHD and CVRWQCB have the following
comments and recommendations .
The saturated zone currently starts at approximately 28
feet below ground surface (bgs) . Eight monitoring
wells (MW) , four vapor extracton wells (VW) , and two
groundwater extraction wells (EW) have been installed at
this site with total depth ranging from 45 feet bgs . to 80
feet bgs . Three MWs have been installed and completed to
80 feet bgs. Groundwater at this site from 28 feet bgs to
80 feet bgs is most likely one hydrogeologic unit . All the
wells installed at this site need to be resurveyed and a .
groundwater potentiometric surface map completed for a
single hydrogeologic unit .
Groundwater samples are not being collected and analyzed
every quarter from all the MWs and EWs at this site. MW1,
MW2 , MW3 , and EW1 have not been sampled recently and there
is no groundwater analytical data from EW2 to date .
Groundwater samples must be collected and analyzed from
these wells . This information will show if groundwater
contamination exists in those areas, and if it does, the
contaminant concentrations. In addition, groundwater
