The LEL level can be determined by <br /> analyzing the temperature nse across the catalyst cell, which occurs from the <br /> combustion of the vapors (1% LEL = approximately 25° F rise above the cataiyst <br /> inlet temperature of 650°F) <br /> • Catalytic Module: The Catalytic Module is a platinum coated metal monohth that <br /> can achieve conversion of most VOC's at approximateiy half of the operating <br /> temperature of a thermal oxidizer The temperature range for catalytic oxidation is <br /> 600°F to 1150°F and is limited to non-chlorinated and non-leaded vapor streams for <br /> the standard ECAT unit Specialized catalysts and materials of construction are <br /> utilized for other vapor streams. <br /> • Destruebon Efficiency: The Destruction Efficiency of VOC's for the standard <br /> ECAT is 95% + <br /> Manor Components <br /> e Trailer or Skid: The ECAT can be either trailer or stud mounted_ Skid dimensions <br /> are 75 inches wide x 60 orches long x 156 inches tall / weight approximately 4,500 <br /> pounds Trader dimensions are 102 inches wide x 144 inches long x 156 inches tall / <br /> weight 5,500 pounds. <br /> • Entrainment Separator. The Entrainineent Separator is provided to remove water <br /> that is brought up during vapor extraction from the vapor stream. It has a tangential <br /> inlet that cyclone separates the water from the vapors with 90% efficiency It also has <br /> a filter to remove incoming particulate The Entramment Separator dimensions are 16 <br /> inches in diameter x 60 inches tall. <br /> • Vacuum Pump: The Vacuum Pump extracts the vapors from the soil and can <br /> produce vacuum levels from 1 inch of water to 350 inches of water dependuig on the <br /> type of pump provided. The pimp is powered by a motor, which is sized to provide <br /> enough horsepower to generate the flow required at the specified vacuum level for <br /> each system. <br />
