. 04 May 2005,
y
AGE-NC Project No 95-0142
13 January 2005 The fuel additive MTBE was detected in the January samples collected from well
MW-7 and vapor well VW-4 at concentrations of 38 µg/1 and 1 7 µg/l, respectively
TPH-g, BTEX compounds and TBA were detected in samples collected from the monitored wells r
on 29 March 2005 TPH-g and BTEX compounds were detected by EPA Method 8021 and 8015 in
the sample collected from vapor well VW-4 at 460 pg/l of TPH-g, 7 7 µg/1 of toluene, 16 µg/1
' ethylbenzene and 0 83 µg/1 of xylene, respectively Ethylbenzene and MTBE were detected by EPA
Method 8260 in well VW-4 at 1 7 pg/l and 3 1 pg/l TBA and MTBE were detected in the March
samples by EPA Method 8260 in well MW-7 at 7 1 pg/128 pg/l, respectively
The analytical results are summarized in Tables 6 and 7 The laboratory report (MAI Work Order
051182 and 050353 1),quality assurance/quality control(QA/QC)report and chain of custody forms
' are included in Appendix E
3 6 GEOTRACKER CONFIRMATIONS
GeoTracker confirmation pages ofthe submitted laboratory electronic deliverable format(EDF)files
and ground water data are included in Appendix F
4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
' Based on the data collected from the site, AGE concludes
• Results from previous assessment investigations indicated that the highest concentrations of
' petroleum hydrocarbons in soil and ground water (VW-1) were near the former UST area
TK1-90,at a depth interval between 10 and 40 feet bsg, SVE and ground water remediation
efforts are directed in this area and soil vapor concentrations have been reduced to a
' non-detect level Ongoing operation of the SVE remediation most likely will not result in the
reduction of hydrocarbon impact to soil and ground water
• The ground water pump-and-treat system was in operation during the later portion of the
' fourth quarter of 2004 and the first quarter of 2005 Approximately 442,213 gallons of water
were processed, AGE estimates that an average of 2,200 gallons of water were discharged
Iper day during this time
• Based on the amount of ground water processed and laboratory analytical results,
approximately 47 24 lbs of TPH-g and 7 365 lbs of benzene were removed from the
' extracted ground water during first quarter 2005 To date,a total of 102 25 lbs of TPH-g and
15 56 lbs of benzene were extracted from ground water
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
