FIRST AID PROCEDURES AND EMERGENCY TREATMENT <br /> In all cases of poisoning, follow standard procedures for poison <br /> management, first aid, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation . Whenever <br /> transporting a poisoned person to a hospital , bring the container, label , <br /> or other information concerning the product (without delaying transport) <br /> to assist medical personnel with diagnosis and treatment. Four different <br /> routes of exposure and their respective first aid/poison managements are <br /> outl ined below: <br /> Ingestion: <br /> o Dilute the poison by offering and encouraging the person to drink <br /> one or two glassfuls of water or milk . Do not use carbonated <br /> fluids . Do not attempt to make the person vomit. <br /> o Call the Pittsburgh Poison Information Center (1-412-681-6669) .
