THIS SITE IS A <br /> DIRT LOT WITH BUILDING WHICH WAS FORMERLY REAGAL STATION #604. <br /> IN ORDER TO ASSESS AND DOCUMENT THIS SITE.WEGE WAS CONTRACTED TO <br /> INSTALL PROBES TO MONITOR THE WATER AND VAPOR EXTRACTION WELLS. <br /> RE1i PMSOHd M AMD RESPONSIBILITlitS <br /> MR. JACK NAPPER, REGISTERED GEOLOGIST, WILL ACT AS PROJECT <br /> SUPERVISOR. MR, NAPPER HAS COMPLETED NUMEROUS PETROLEUM <br /> CONTAMINATION ANALYSES THROUGHOUT THE CENTRAL VALLEY AND NORTHERN <br /> CALIFORNIA. GEORGE CONVERSE, PROJECT MANAGER, WILL DIRECT FIELD <br /> CHARACTERIZATION AND SAMPLING ACTIVITIES. MR. CONVERSE WILL ACT . <br /> AS SITE SAFETY OFFICER. MR. THE EXTREME . <br /> LIMIT (LEL) OF GASOLINE VAPOR IS 1.3 PERCccDITTIN AIS EXPLOSION <br /> CONCENTRATION OF GASOLINE VAPOR IN AIR EXCEEDS 1.3 PERCENT (13x000 <br /> PARTS PER MILLION) AND SUFFICIENT <br /> PR SENT, THEN THE INTRODUCTION OF SUFFICIETIES <br /> NTIHEAT, OF OXYGEN ARE <br /> WILL RESULT IN AN EXPLOSION. <br /> A LESSER KNOWN HEALTH HAZARD RESULTING FROM EXPOSURE TO GASOLINE <br /> IS TOXICITY. SEVERAL COMMON CONSTITUENTS OF GASOLINE HAVE BEEN <br /> LINKED TO VARIOUS HEALTH PROBLEMS. THE CONSTITUENTS OF <br /> THAT HAVE BEEN SHOWN TO CRUSE SERIOUS HGASOLINE <br /> EALTH PROBLEMS RESULTING <br /> FROM RELATIVELY MINOR EXPOSURES INCLUDE-BXUZMR, 'I'p , meta. <br /> Para, and ortho SYLE=S, E ElYL BRUZMR <br /> AND TRTRAt3'1'SyL LEAD. <br /> TYPICAL PERCENTAGES (BY WEIGHT) OF THESE CONSTITUENTS IN GASOLINE <br /> ARE: BENZENE - 0.12-3.50%, TOLUENE - 2.73-21.80%, meta XYLENE - <br /> 1.77-3.87%, para XYLENE - 0.77-1.58%, ortho XYLENE - 0. <br /> AND ETHYL BENZENE - 0.36-2.86%.
