R604-SUMMATION REPT. 6-92 . <br /> ` INTRODUCTION <br /> t <br /> i The purpose of this report is to summarize the events that have <br />• occurred after the discovery of gasoline range contaminated soil <br /> and ground water at former Regal Station 604 . The request for <br /> this report was made by Mr . Angleos Parisis , owner of the property <br /> south of the site , 1428 N. E1 Dorado Street. In fulfilling this <br /> request , Mr . Parisis will grant Wickland Properties permission to <br /> install and monitor a ground water monitoring well on his <br /> property to help in the evaluation of the remediation progress of <br /> i former Regal Station 604 , see Figure 1 . <br /> I LOCATION <br /> Regal Station 604 (parcel # 139-020--08 ) is located at 1448 N. EI <br /> Dorado and Harding Way , Stockton, San Joaquin County , California . <br /> The site is in projected section 2 ; T1N; R6E; MDB&M at <br /> approximately 14 feet above mean sea level . Initial drilling <br /> (November , 1989 ) encountered ground water at approximately 32 feet <br /> below sea level ( 47 ' below the surface ) and flowing in an east to <br /> southeasterly direction, see Figure 1 . <br /> CHRONOLOGY OF EVENTS <br /> SEPTEMBER 29 , 1989 Initial sampling of excavation after <br /> removal of 6 underground fuel <br /> storage tanks . First discovery of <br /> S011 contaminated with gasoline <br /> • range hydrocarbons . <br /> October 5 , 1989 Removal and sampling of product <br /> lines to dispensers . <br /> December 1 , 1989 Drilling and sampling test borings <br /> to ground water , first discovery of <br /> ground water impacted. <br /> December 4-8 , 1989 Installation of ground water <br /> monitoring wells MW1 , MW21 MW3 and <br /> MW4 . <br /> i June 26, 1990 Sampling of over excavation of tank <br /> excavation at 26 foot depth. <br /> i <br /> a <br /> September 6 , 1990 Sampling of the over excavation of <br /> product line , dispenser area; <br /> over excavation to 20 foot depth. <br /> October 8 , 1990 Installation of ground water <br /> I monitoring wells MW5 and MW6 along <br /> �i with installation of vapor <br /> extraction wells P1 , P3 and EX . <br /> i <br /> • j <br /> December 10 , 1990 Vapor extraction pilot test started, <br /> page 2 <br /> I <br />
