I
VAPOR RECOVERY RESULTS
As of March 15 , 1993 , the total system has recovered a calculated
total of 16967 pounds of hydrocarbons, 3851 of which have been
produced since the beginning of operations under the Authority to
Construct .
As of July 21, 1992, the date it was destroyed, P1 had produced
2 . 96 pounds of hydrocarbons or an additional 1 . 63 pounds since
the beginning of operation under the Authority to Construct . See
Table 1 .
VSB5 was added to vapor extraction well P3-Swarm on 7/27/92 . The
swarm in combination with VSB5 has produced, as of 03/15/93 , 792
pounds of hydrocarbons, an additional 230 pounds since operation
under the Authority to Construct, VSB5 is currently producing
0 92 pounds per day, see Table 1 . On 8/26/92 , the P3-Swarm was
disengaged from the vapor extraction system.
Before being shut down on 7/24/92, vapor extraction well EX
produced 131 . 31 pounds of hydrocarbons, 4 . 18 pounds of which were
produced under the Authority to Construct, see Table 1 .
As of August 26, 1992 , MW1 had produced a total of 2534 pounds,
of which 69 . 75 pounds have been produced during operations under
the Authority to Construct . MW1 was shut down on 7/24/92 .
• As of March 15, 1993 , MW5 has produced a total of 10122 pounds, of
which 1727 pounds have been produced during operations under the
Authority to Construct . MW5 was transferred to use as a clean
air injection well on 7/24/92 . On 7/27/92 , MW5 was shutdown as an
air injection well . MW5 was again hooked up as a vapor extraction
well on 8/03/92 .
On July 27 , 1992, VSB3 , VSB9 and VSB11 were added to the system.
As of March 15, 1993 , these wells had produced the following
amounts of gasoline VSB3 , 23 . 78 pounds, VSB9 , 1067 pounds, and
as of 2/23/93 VSB11, 370 4 pounds .
Monitor well, MW 3 has not been used for vapor extraction during
the operations under the Authority to Construct .
Currently the site is producing 8 . 73 pounds per day of TFH
hydrocarbon The current CO2 emission rate indicates that
approximately 65 lb of hydrocarbon are being destroyed per day by
means of in-situ biological and/or chemical oxidation
I you av n questions, please call (916) 668-5300 .
oy e
Geologist
• cc Ms Mary Meays, San Joaquin County Health
Ms Teresa Stuyt, San Joaquin Valley Air Quality
page 6 of R604 , 04/07/93
s
