OF CONTACT PERSON: Peter Voskes, (916) 482- 2924 <br /> LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF PROPERTY: Refer to Exhibit A. <br /> • APN 'S: 094--050-11 , (Normac; ) & 094-050--21 , (Hammertown Fartners. ) <br /> Refer to Exhibit B. <br /> HISTORY OF PRIOR WORK: In 1989, a 1 ,000 gallon UST, which had <br /> previously contained gasoline, was removed from the property. Soil <br /> samples taken from beneath the site of the removed tank were tested <br /> for BTEX, EDB, TPH-G, and organic lead. The sample from the east <br /> end of the site was clean , but the sample from the west end revealed <br /> the presence of significant amounts of BTEX, EDB, & TPH-G. Refer to <br /> Table I for details. <br /> In January, 1990, work commenced to re--excavate the site using Jam <br /> Thorpe Oil equipment & personel . Approximately 300 cubic yards of <br /> spoil was removed, producing an eX cavation approximately 30 ' X 19 ' X <br /> 21 ' deep; (refer to Exhibit C. ) A total of 7 soil samples were taken <br /> from the sides and bottom of the pit as shown an Exhibits D & E. <br /> Laboratory analyzes, (Table II , ) revealed that both bottom samples <br /> and the two from the west sidewalls had unacceptable levels of BTEX <br /> & TPH-G. A workplan was prepared and submitted to remove additional <br /> spoil , but the San Joaquin Co. Environmental Health Division <br /> responded by stating that barxngs and/or monitoring wells would be <br /> required; (refer to Exhibit F. ) <br /> On July 17, 1990, a soil contamination workplan was submitted to the <br /> • County EHD, (Exhibit G, ) to drill , log , & sample 5 boreholes to a <br /> 1 <br />
