(Aegis) at the
Exxon Service Station 7-0137. The site is located at 1605 South El
Dorado Avenue, in the City of Stockton, San Joaquin County,
{" California (Figure 1) .
1.1 Pu 0 use
The purpose of the site assessment was to:
. ., a Preliminarily characterize the site geologic and hydrageologic
conditions;
o Identify if petroleum hydrocarbons are present in the soil
fuel storage tank (UST)
beneath the existing underground
L basin; and
o Evaluate the passible need for further assessment and/or
mitigation of petroleum hydrocarbons in soil and ground water
beneath the site.
14•
1.2 Scope
The scope of work is summarized below.
epi
o A Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) survey was performed by
r NORCAL Geophysical Consultants, Inc. of Petaluma, California
on 5 February 1991. The survey was performed in the area of
the existing UST basin and provided information regarding
locations of existing underground facilities for avoidance
during drilling. A copy of NORCA]L's report is included as
Appendix D.
a Two soil borings were drilled on 22 February 1990, at an angle
Of 30 from vertical, adjacent to the existing UST basin. The
borings were advanced using 8"-diameter hollow-stem auger. A
4 total of 60 feet of auger was utilized in each boring, with a
final sample drive of 18-inches achieving a total depth of pt
feet along the 300
e borings
The s was approximately 53 tual 53tica
feet below
penetrated by th
existing rade.
g g
9012055.RPT - - -
