The field work <br /> 1991 by NORCAL principal geophysi- <br /> was performed on February 5, <br /> cist William E. Black. Mr. Bob Kimmerling of Aegis provided site <br /> orientation, field assistance, and background information. <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> ^{ 1 The -subject property is bordered by Center Street on the wast, <br /> South El Dorado Street on the east, Second Street on the north, <br /> and ,Third Street on the south. Three pump islands are located <br /> the center of the parcel . A convenience store is situated along <br /> the northern site boundary. Three 10,000 gallon underground ; <br /> storage tanks (UST) are located immediately south of the pump is- <br /> " lands. The area of investigation includes that portion of the. <br /> 1 site overlying and surrounding the three UST' s . This flat, open <br /> area is. paved with asphalt. <br /> f{ PURPOSE <br /> rose of the GAR survey is to explore the area west and <br /> The purpose <br /> east:of the UST's for underground utilities or buried objects <br /> that might obstruct drilling. it is our understanding that this <br /> information will be used to help site boring locations. The <br /> borings will be drilled at an angle in order to sample the soil <br /> beneath the UST's. <br /> SCOPE OF WORK . <br /> We performed 9 east-west and 7 north-south QPR traverses centered <br /> over the.UST's. The north south traverses are 85 to 90 feet long <br /> and are distributed at 2.5 to 5 foot intervals. The north-south <br /> - --traverses range zn—]ength_fr_am--35 to d5__foot-_and,are distributed <br /> at 5 to 9 foot intervals trraverses, <br /> The locations of the� GPR <br /> e <br /> which amount to: 1065 line feet of total coverage, are shown on <br /> Plate 1 <br /> r <br /> 1�r , <br /> r <br /> r Z <br />
