Submit an additional interim remediation feasibility work plan
addendum specifically for the treatment and migration control of the
dissolved contaminants in groundwater to EHD by June 20, 2005.
3 . Selection of soil samples for analyses must include EHD comment and
agreement
4. Schedule work with EHD at least 48 hours in advance. Obtain permit
and submit appropriate fee prior commencement of work.
5 . Install SVE wells by July 15, 2005, conduct SVE pilot test by July 25,
2005,
REASONS FOR DISAPPROVAL OF THE WORKPLAN (H&S 25299. 373
subd. (C) (3) .) :
1 . In a telephone conversation with AGE, EHD agreed with AGE that
IAS technology is premature due to the physical barrier of silt and clay
layer above the groundwater table that may limit vapor recovery and
contribute to migration of hydrocarbon contamination. EHD agrees
with AGE that the IAS well installation and feasibility test portion of
the work plan should be shelved.
DATED May
y 2 6.
