Install a soil vapor extraction (SVE) system in to begin interim remediation activities at <br /> the above referenced site. The SVE will be combined with a groundwater extraction and <br /> treatment (GWET) system which is currently in planning and design stage and will be <br /> the subject of a separate work plan. <br /> 3. Operate and maintain the SVE remediation system. <br /> 4. The SVE will be connected through a manifold box to the vapor recovery wells should <br /> be able to operate between 175 and 200 cubic feet per minute (cfm). <br /> COMMENTS AND CONDITIONS: <br /> 1. Obtain all necessary permits from appropriate agencies before installation and/or <br /> initiation of the remediation system. <br /> 2. Begin implementation of the proposed work by June 1,200& <br /> 3. Submit a work plan for the GWET system for review by June 1, 2000 <br /> REASONS FOR DISAPPROVAL OF THE WORKPLAN (H&S <br /> 25296.10,subd.(c)(3).): <br /> Collection of soil samples after 12 months of operation is not approved at this time. Future <br /> collection of soil samples to evaluate the effectiveness of the remediation system will be <br /> based on site condition at that time.
