(AGE) , on your behalf for the above- <br /> referenced site. By letter dated 10 May 2013, the EHD had directed the submittal of a work plan <br /> to advance one deep soil boring in the former underground storage tank (UST) area to assess <br /> the petroleum hydrocarbon impacted soil and possibly convert the borehole into a monitoring <br /> well to assess the vertical extent of impacted groundwater. <br /> In the work plan , AGE proposes: <br /> • Advancement of one deep soil boring (65) to a minimum of 100 feet below surface grade <br /> (bsg) at a location illustrated on Figure 2 of the work plan ; ' <br /> • Collection of soil samples for lithologic characterization at five-foot intervals between <br /> approximately 60 and 100 feet bsg , with adjustments of frequency and method of <br /> sampling based on consultation between the AGE field technician and geologist; <br /> Field screen soil samples for the presence of volatile organic compounds using an <br /> organic vapor meter equipped with a photo-ionization detector; <br /> Collection of grab groundwater samples at the base of the borehole; <br /> a Analysis of grab groundwater and select soil samples for total petroleum hydrocarbons <br /> as gasoline (TPH-g); benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes (BTEX); di- <br /> isopropyl ether ( DIPE) , ethyl tertiary-butyl ether (ETBE) , methyl tertiary-butyl ether <br /> (MTBE) , tertiary-amyl methyl ether (TAME) , tertiary-butyl alcohol (TBA) , 1 , 2- <br /> dibromoethane (EDB) , 1 ,2-dichloroethane (1 ,2-DCA) and total lead; <br /> • Determination of the conversion of the borehole into one monitoring well contingent upon <br /> soil and grab groundwater sample collection , field observations during the advancement <br /> of the borehole and at the direction of the EHD; <br /> • Installation of a deep-screened groundwater monitoring well (screened 95 to 100 feet <br /> bsg) , contingent upon the above bullet; <br />
