09 October 2013
AGE- NC Project No, 11 -1847
a report of findings and recommendations .
2 .3 . MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION , DEVELOPMENT, AND SURVEY
All proposed soil boringswill be single-completed as shallow groundwater monitoring wells.
The proposed monitoring wells will be screened at depths of approximately 25 feet to
45 feet bsg . Depth of the screened interval may vary or be reduced overall according to
hydrogeologic conditions encountered while drilling . Following installation , each well will
be developed to maximize water flow and minimize the amount of fine-grained sediment
drawn into the well during pumping or bailing . The top of each newly installed well casing
(well head ) will be surveyed to determine its elevation relative to North American Vertical
Datum 88 . An as built diagram of the proposed construction of the proposed wells has
been included as Figure 3 .
2 .4 , GROUNDWATER SAMPLING AND ANALYSIS
Following the installation of the new monitoring wells, groundwater monitoring and
sampling activities will be conducted on the wells on a quarterly basis fora minimum of one
year (four sampling events) ; monitoring activities will include recording depth to
groundwater measurements and collection of groundwater samples for laboratory analysis
by a CDPH-certified laboratory for the analytes noted in Section 2 .2 .
2 . 5 . PREPARATION OF REPORT OF FINDINGS
A report documenting the findings of the well installations, development and surveywill be
prepared following performance of field work and receipt of all applicable data . Additionally,
quarterly reports will be prepared following each groundwater monitoring event. Each
report will include a description of work performed and the results of the groundwater
sampling and analysis . Conclusions and recommendations will also be included , if
applicable for each report. All reports will be in a format acceptable to the EHD and
CVRWQCB , and will be reviewed and signed by a California Professional Geologist.
3.0 . FIELD PROCEDURES
All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative under the supervision of
a California Professional Geologist. Procedures for the well installation , soil sample
collection , well development and well sampling are described below.
Advaneed Geo Cnvironmenlal, Inc.
