El Dorado St., Stockton, CA
County Site Code: 9401; USTCFP Claim#0417
Dear Ms. Sanborn:
Mr. Jeffery Wong of the SJCPHS-EHD has directed that the abandoned domestic well located
at 60 E. Castle Street, Stockton, be video taped and then destroyed. The well has been impacted
by the petroleum release from the subject site. Geological Technics Inc. (GTI) submitted a
work plan to San Joaquin County dated October 13, 2000 describing the work to be performed.
The SJCPHS-EHD subsequently approved this work plan in their November 13, 2000 letter
correspondence.
GTI requested a bid from Water Well Technology Inc..for the work and they responded with a
bid to blast perforate the well. This bid, $1250, was included in our Cost Pre-Approval (CPA)
request dated January 26, 2001. The USTCFP subsequently approved that CPA.
We have subsequently learned that the Water Well Technology Inc. bid did not include the cost
to pump grout into the well casing around the explosive charges. We have received a new bid
from Water Well Technology Inc. that includes the grout work at a cost of-$2525.00. The bid is
attached for your review and approval.
Thank you for your attention to this project. Call me if you have questions or need
clarification. My phone number is (209) 538-6424.
Respectfully Submitted,
Geofogica[Technics.-inc. I
Raynold I.
