El Dorado St.; Stockton, CA County Site Code: 9401; USTCFP Claim#0417 Dear Ms. Sanborn: On October 4, 1999, Geological Technics Inc. (GTI) submitted an Additional Site Characterization Report that documented the. installation of a deep, discretely screened monitoring well and a deeper soil boring at.the above site. Analytical data shows the presence of gasoline range petroleum hydrocarbons in the soil and groundwater to a depth of at least 110 feet bgs. In a letter dated August 1, 2000, Mr. Jeff Wong of SJC PHS/EHD issued a letter directing that a work plan for the investigation of the vertical definition of the plume be submitted by August 25, 2000. On August 24, 2000, GTI submitted a"Vertical Definition Work Plan" dated August 23, 2000 to SJC PHS/EHD. The SJC PHS/EHD approved the proposed work plan in a letter dated June 14, 2001. Proposed Direction of Project This opinion of cost includes the following work: • Install one deep-screened groundwater monitoring well to a depth of 152.feet. • Obtain 5 soil.samples for laboratory analysis. . . • Obtain 5 soil pore water samples utilizing a SimulProbe sampling device. • Perform one year (four consecutive quarters) of groundwater monitoring—eight wells. • Prepare and submit report on the installation of the deep well. • Prepare and submit reports for the quarterly monitoring reports.
