i
Ground Zero Analysis,Inc.
Valentine Property
Project No.:723.2
Well Destruction Work Plan Addendum
April 30,2013
Initial Method
Based on the recommendations,of the CMT well manufacturer(Solinst), a pressure grouting
method is recommended for the destruction of CMT wells MW-7, MW=B and MW-9 as over-
drilling has shown to be difficult and ineffective. The pressure grouting method is as follows:
• A thin cement grout will be pumped:under.pressure:through a:small diameter trentie tube
to the bottom of each chamber of the CMT well. In this manner, the grout will displace
the water in the well ensuring that it completely filled with grout. Solinst recommends
a grout mixture of 55 lbs ultrafine cement, 2.2 lbs of super plasticizer and 110 lbs of
water,or about 13.2 gallons. The tie nie tubing will be left in the well. °-""A
• After, the grout has been filled to the top of each chamber of the CT--well, a pressure (/y„
cap will be fitted to the casing and .the well pressurized to .25 psi.. If the grout settles, C
Additional grout will be pumped into the well casing. This will force the cement into the
filter],
pack.
• After the grout has been installed, the top of casing of the CMT wells will be drilled out
to a depth of 5 ft below grade and the holes will be filled with clean dirt and capped with f
asphalt or concrete in the upper'8 iriches below-grade for. wells in asphalted or concrete -` °
areas.(respectively).
Secondary Method
In the case that the pressure grouting of the CMT wells is-not.successful, each of the three
CMT wells will have their entire contents drilled out and the borehole filled with neat cement
grout to grade. An 8 inch hollow-sten auger fitted with a special designed stinger to keep it '-

centered in the well is proposed.to drill out the well, As an added step.to stay centered within
the well,.the drilling will,be continuous'without stopping to clean the augers until we reach
total depth.
i
If you should have any questions please do not hesitate-to call.
Respectfully Submitted; SONAL SFO
Ra n o Digita'V signed by Raynold Kablanow ZO
SDN:c= ynold Kablanow,o
5u=(a]eol gicalTech cs, RAYNOLD 1. N
Ka I a + w-em gt gtienv.com,
azo, °- KABLIINOW
No.5234
Raynold I.
