SJC/EHD approved the work plan in their March 7, 2005 letter. We
are sending this letter to inform you that progress is being made toward installing the clean up system. The City
of Stockton has approved the"system design and we can proceed with installation as far as that agency is
concerned.
But unfortunately we have encountered circumstances that will result in'additional delay in the system start up.
When we submitted the request for natural gas fuel service from P.G. &.E,in December 2005 our application
clearly showed high pressure (5 psi) service requirements. P.G.,.&E. subsequently informed us that the nearest
suitable service was on a neighbor's property and that we would have to'secure permission from the neighbor to
access their pipeline. As we previously informed-you GTI has gone through that process and received
permission from the adjacent property owner to trench across their property and extend the gas line to your
parcel.
On Friday, July 7, 2006, P.G. & E:informed us that they have made an error and the subject gas line on the
adjacent property is a high volume pipeline not a high pressure pipeline. They told our subcontractor, Del
Tech, that they will have to trench from the main pipeline from the street to supply the.service to your parcel.
This will result in a six week delay while P.G. &E.'s engineering department performs a new evaluation and
then the trenching installation fees will have tobe paid before P.G. &E. will schedule the job.
We apologize for the repeated delays but we are committed to making sure the system gets installed as soon as
possible. Thank you for your patience and:if you have any questions, please'contact me at(209)522-4119.
Respectfully submi ted
Joseph D.
