SJC/EHD approved the work plan in
their March 7,-2005 letter. The budgeting and permitting for the extraction and treatment system
procurement, installation, and operation is underway.
We apologize for the delay but it has taken several months to find a contractor to install the proposed
system. We finally received a bid to do the work on October 12, 2005 from Del Tech Geotechnical
Support Services. The following permits are being submitted to the appropriate regulatory agencies:
Water disposal-City of Stockton, OMI Thames Water Company
Treated vapor discharge- San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District
Building Permit-City of Stockton Building Department
Natural Gas and Electrical Service-PG&E
As soon as we* get the initial-feedback from these agencies we can finalize the budget for your,
approval. Details regarding the frequency of treatment system monitoring, groundwater sample
analyses, etc. will be at the discretion of the regulatory agencies. Once the budget is finalized, it
must be submitted to the UST Cleanup Fund for approval and then installation can begin.
Thank you for your patience and if you have any questions, please contact me at(209)522-41.19.
Respectfully submittd,
oseph D.Angulo
Geologist
cc: Jeff Wong—SJC PHS/EHD
1 James Barton-CRWQCB-CVR
