The agreement includes a specified amount of money that our agency will be reimbursed
for the costs associated with overseeing the corrective action. In past years, the amount of the
LOP reimbursement money was sufficient to cover all of the EHD oversight costs. The amount
of the LOP agreement money has now been decreased, and the cost to the EHD of providing the
oversight has increased. Therefore, the EHD will be adding a three-hour inspection fee
(currently$93 per hour) to the well installation and destruction permit application fees, which
will cover some of the review and inspection activity costs associated with these permits.
Effective July 1, 2005, the monitoring well installation permit cost will be $368 ($89 application
fee plus 3 hrs. @ $93/hr). The well destruction permit cost will be $339 ($60 application fee
plus 3 hrs. @ $93/hr).
These oversight costs may be reimbursable to your client through the CSWRCB Underground
Storage Tank (UST) Cleanup Fund. Information can be obtained from the CSWRCB UST
Cleanup Fund web site at http://Www.swrcb.ca.govlcwphomelustcfl.
If you have any questions, please contact me at(209) 468-3449.
Donna Heran, RENS, Director
Environmental Health Department
Margaret Lagorio, Supervising REHS
LOP/Unit IV
