F
I
Dear Mr. Valentine:
On 08 January 2014, the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) met
with the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control. Board (CVRWQCB) to discuss
historical analytical data collected during the waste oil tank removal on 21 April 1987 at the
above-referenced site. The soil analytical results collected during the waste oil tank removal
in 1987 do not meet the waste oil tank removal analytical requirements of the CWRWQCB.
To satisfy the objectives of the CVRWQCB, the EHD directs that monitoring well MW-1 be
sampled and groundwater be analyzed for the following constituents:
SW-846 Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Method 8260B list of compounds,
including methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE), ethyl tertiary-butyl ether (ETBE), tertiary-
amyl methyl ether (TAME), di-isopropyl ether (DIPS), tertiary-butyl alcohol (TBA) and
all tentatively identified compounds (TICs);
® SW-846 EPA Method 8270 list of compounds; j
I
© Oil and Grease;
® Metals: cadmium, chromium, copper, nickel and lead;
a Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs); and
a Dioxins and Furans.
Once the analytical results for the above analytes have been submitted, the EHD will submit
the analytical data along with the Case Closure Summary to the CVRWQCB for closure
notification. The CVRWQCB will have thirty days to respond to the closure recommendation
by the EHD.
li
