PLATE I .
PROPOSED WORKPLAN
The following workplan is designed to determine the lateral
limits of groundwater contamination to the northwest, north,
northeast, southeast, and southwest . Private residences west of
Castle Motors precludes the placement of a sample point an that
direction. We believe that sax (6) sample points should be
sufficient to delineate the plume . Those 6 locations are shown
on PLATE II .
1 After receiving pre-approval from the Cleanup Fund staff, we
will obtain necessary encroachment permits from the City of
Stockton, and drilling permits from the County EHD
2 Mobilize small diameter soil probe equipment capable of
taking discreet groundwater samples The approximate locations
of the soil probes are shown on PLATE II The actual locations
may vary depending upon surface restrictions and underground
utilities .
3 Tools will be advanced to 40 ' bgl or until water is
encountered. At that time, the hydropunch-type tool will be
opened, and sufficient water samples collected for analysis The
hole will be grouted with a cement/bentonite slurry from bottom
to the surface after completion.
4 The above operation will be repeated at each of the other
locations .
All field operations will be supervised as necessary by qualified
professionals .
I
Upon completion of the work, the preserved water samples will be
transported under chain of custody to a State Certified labora-
tory with instructions to analyze for BETX/MTBE & TPHg using San
Joaquin County & Tri-Regional procedures and detection limits
Upon receipt and analysis of the results of the work, a report
will be pre ared and submitted to the County EHD for review and
COMMFA.
W gn coo
Wm. ter & Associates
cc S Valentine
NLE v"'i NUIK,:R
Alf 7
3
