SITE CODE: 1095
3105 S EL DORADO ST
STOCKTON CA 95206
San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) has
reviewed the report entitled "Report of Investigation of Release of Fuel Hydrocarbons from
Former Underground Storage Tanks at 3105 South EI Dorado Street, Stockton California"
prepared by Sierra-Pacific Groundwater Consultants, Inc.
The preliminary investigation has confirmed the presence of petroleum hydrocarbons in
groundwater beneath the site. The major component of the groundwater plume appears to be
methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE). Based on the results of the preliminary investigation a remedial
investigation is required to determine the lateral and vertical extent of contamination.
PHS/EHD recommends that you submit a remedial investigation workplan by April 18, 1997.
For additional information please contact Steve Sasson, Senior REHS, at (209) 468-3459.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
EnvirorlmentalHgalth Division
,1 ven SJssofi, 9chio" fREHS Margare agorio, RE
LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV Supervisor
:Ib
c: SWRCB, Underground Storage Tank Section- Lori Casias
c: RWQCB , Central Valley Region- Elizabeth Thayer
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
