(EI ) assumed site environmental consulting activities and performed <br /> an updated site investigation in accordance with their workplan to further determine the extent of <br /> Lll contamin tten�on . The SJCEHD required additional <br /> 8 L ,y �,7 assessment of the vertical and lateral extent of the impacted soil and groundwater as a result of <br /> re consistent BTEX detections in MW-4 exceeding California's maximum contaminant levels for <br /> a� <br /> d,/MW-41 <br /> p/oV 7, ; ee in Addendum to the workplan , which was submitted August 1 , 2006, lengthened the proposed <br /> mw* borings from 50 feet to 125 feet and suggested using Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) <br /> /J45' <br /> k</technology be used in place of a direct-push borings . <br /> During October 22 to October 25, 20072 WRM advanced CPT borings P-1 through P-4 as <br /> reported in WRM 's September 30 , 2008 Site Investigation Results and Site Conceptual Model <br /> report. P- 1 was advanced west of MW-2 , P-2 was advanced on the sidewalk east of MW-2 and <br /> north of MW-4 , P-3 was advanced west of MW-1 , and P-4 was advanced on the east side of S . <br /> EI Dorado Street, east of MW-4 . A fifth CPT boring , S-5 , was advanced on the sidewalk south of <br /> MW-4 and contiguous to P-8 , a boring connected to AGE'S investigation on the adjacent Pacific <br /> Pride site . <br /> i <br /> 1 <br />
