I will be sure to contact you at
least 48 hours in advance of future ground water monitoring events.
I will contact David Atwater for approval of well abandonment. As soon as he authorizes, I will
submit the EHD well destruction permit application and fee . If there are any problems, I will be
sure to let you know .
Thanks - Tim
From : Vicki McCartney [EH] [mailto:vmccartney@sjcehd.com]
Sent: Friday, July 02, 2010 4: 20 PM
To: tcuellar@advgeoenv.com
Subject: Pacific Pride - South EI Dorado
Good afternoon, Tim .
I have reviewed Soil Vapor Extraction Pilot Test Report - December 2008, dated March 17, 2010. 1
cannot comment concerning AGE's recommendation to prepare a corrective action plan for the
Pacific Pride site located at 3147 EI Dorado Street, Stockton, until I receive current analytical data
for groundwater samples collected from MW-1 and MW-7. I went on GeoTracker today but could
not find current groundwater data for these two wells. Were these wells sampled on June 3, 2010?
If they were not, then these wells must be sampled in the near future . I would like to be notified
whenever there is a sampling event at this site.
Based on the photo and your description of the current condition of MW-5, I believe MW-5 should be
destroyed . Since MW-5 is in an area of known contamination , the well should be over-drilled and
the contents removed. Please submit a well destruction permit and permittinspection fee of $405
and destroy this well by July 30, 2010. (Please note that there will be a County fee increase
effective August 1 , 2010.)
Thank you , Tim.
Vicki McCartney, Senior RENS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
600 East Main Street
Stockton, California 95202
Phone: (209) 468-9852
Fax: (209) 468-3433
7/6/2010
