EL DORADO
STOCKTON CA 95201
Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHSIEHD) is the lead agency
providing the oversight of the investigation and cleanup of releases from underground storage tanks within
San Joaquin County. PHS/EHD has a contract with California State Water Resources Control Board to
conduct.an underground storage tank corrective action program. The above referenced site was placed
in the PHS/EHD Local Oversight Program (LOP) in August 1991.
PHSIEHD has completed review of the latest Quarterly Report prepared by Geological Technics Inc.which
contains current groundwater results. Water conditions remain above MCL's (MW #1 evidenced 2ppb
benzene).
PHSIEHD has also completed review of the Remedial Feasibility Study Work Plan prepared by Geological
Technics Inc. This office approves this Work Plan (WP) which will conduct testing to determine the most
effective and economical approach to corrective action in accordance with Article 11, Title 23, Division 3,
Chapter 16, California Code Of Regulations. The feasibility study must compare, at a minimum, three
remedial alternatives to mitigate groundwater degradation currently present at this site.
Quarterly groundwater monitoring must continue until site certification is issued with no further action.
If you?tv—cany further questions regarding this matter, contact Harlin Knoll at (209)468-3442.
- Donna Hewn: REHS_.D n5dorI
—Environmental Health Division'
Harlin Knoll, Senior REHS Diane M.
