100 gallons of water from each of MW-4 and MW-5.
6 After completion ofpumping, allow the water level in each well to recharge to 80
p
percent of initial water levels and collect one groundwater sample from MW-1, MW-
4 and MW-5. Samples will be collected using new, clean disposable plastic bailers.
Samples will be collected in EPA vials (all sampled wells) and 1-liter amber bottles
1 (MW-1).
7) Transport samples in a chilled container to a State-certified analytical laboratory.
Each sample will be analyzed for TPH as gasoline and BTE&X in accordance with
the appropriate EPA methods. The sample from MW-1 will also be analyzed for
TPH as diesel.
8) Collect one groundwater sample from the extracted water stored on-site. This sample
will be collected by lowering a disposable bailer into the above-ground tank. The
samples will be collected in EPA vials and 1-liter amber bottles and analyzed for
TPH (gasoline and diesel) and BTE&X.
' 9) If petroleum hydrocarbons are detected in the extracted water sample, the extracted
groundwater will then be discharged into the sanitary sewer, upon approval of the
City of Stockton. However, if no petroleum hydrocarbons are detected, the
groundwater will be discharged on-site or into the storm drain.
10) Results of the limited groundwater extraction will be reported in the Quarterly
Report for December 1994.
' If you have questions regarding the proposed work, please do not hesitate to call.
