O. Box 1257
Stockton, CA 95201
SUBJECT: LABORATORY ANALYSIS OF SOIL SAMPLES
3430 S. El Dorado St. (Western Lift Project)
Dear Mr. Hoblitzell:
On November 1, 1991, a third phase of overexcavation was performed
at the Western Lift Project site on S. E1 Dorado St. Previous soil
sampling indicated that contamination was still present in portions
of the excavation. Approval was obtained from Harlen Knoll of the
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division for this third
phase of overexcavation.
The excavation was enlarged by 8 to 10 feet in the north and south
directions and to a maximum depth of 34 feet (Previous depth was 29
feet) . Previous soil sampling indicated no contamination remained
in the east and west directions, therefore no additional samples
were collected in those areas.
A total of three samples were collected after this most recent
phase of excavation was completed. Sample WL-S30 was collected
from the south wall , 30 feet below surface grade; sample WL-N30 was
collected from the north wall , 30 feet below surface grade; sample
WL--B34 was collected from the bottom center of the excavation, 34
feet below surface grade. The samples were analyzed by FGL
Laboratories for TPH-g, TPH-d and BTEX. The results were
transmitted on November 5 , 1991 . All analysis were reported as
non-detected, indicating no further remediation will be necessary
at the site.
If you have any questions or comments, please contact me at our
Stockton office.
Sincerely,
GEOLOGICAL AUDIT SERVICES, INC.
&__/
Bob Marty
Staff Geologist
Envronmental Services • Hydrogeology •Geotechnicai Services
