El Dorado <br /> Stockton, CA <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) has reviewed the <br /> sampling work plan submitted by Groundwater Technology Inc. (GTI) and received June 20, 1991. <br /> PHS/EHD is aware that this work was preformed,prior to staff review and without staff oversight. For the <br /> sake of file completeness and further reference, PHS/EHD is issuing the following comments at this time: <br /> 1. Any correspondence or submittals regarding this site should also be forwarded to the Central Valley <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB), 3443 Routier Road, Suite A, Sacramento, <br /> California 95827-3098. <br /> 2. The sampling frequency recommended in this work plan falls far short of the number of samples <br /> which will be necessary to characterize the volume of stockpiled soil on this site. Please submit a <br /> frequency which will more closely approximate the industry standard. Additionally,any compositing <br /> of samples needs to be performed in the laboratory. <br /> 3. For PHS/EHD to recognize the results from any sampling events and use those results to make <br /> determinations regarding a site,48 hours notice needs to be given.
