Mr. Dean Willis Page Three
October 18, 1990
Conclusigns
There is a layer of sandy soil underlying the current excavation pit from
approximately 20 feet to at least 35 feet below grade. This sand layer
appears to be contaminated with hydrocarbons. Only one -of the samples
collected showed non-detect levels for diesel and gasoline. -However, only
one of the samples in the sand layer was highly contaminated. In addition
to the one highly contaminated sand sample (S6B-18') there was one
contaminated clay sample (S2A-2'). The extent of contamination around
S2A-2' appears to be limited. The extent of contamination around S6B-18' is
unknown.
Sincerely, F
ERM EnviroClean-West
Jarn`s E.
