This plan proposes increasing the lateral and vertical limits to a point
where the total volume of contaminated soil excavated should not exceed 5,000 cubic
yards.
The depths of the excavation will be increased to a maximum depth of 30 feet
(Figure B)five feet above the water table. This depth may be less in some areas -
depending on concentrations of contaminants. The lateral limits of the excavation are
shown on the (Figure A).
Treatment of the contaminated soil stockpile will depend on overall
concentrations of diesel, gasoline, and BTX&E. Cost estimates are being proposed to
Manna Pro Corporation.
The groundwater contamination will be addressed at a later date. Soil sampling
will be conducted as soon as the balance of the contaminated-soil
i .
