'Tine <br /> work area is m the northwest corner of the property approximately 80 fest from the <br /> west property line. <br /> SEMCO, a licensed underground storage tank removal company, removed (5) five fuel <br /> tanks on May 30, 1990 (Appendix A). At LE at time, soil samples were taken <br /> (Appendix B). <br /> 3.0 CONTAMWANTDIS7RMMON <br />' Contam.inanon was discovered under the south end of tank #2, the youth end of bink <br /> #3, the nosh and south ends of tank A, and the west end of tank #5 (Figure 3). The <br /> soil sampled under tank 11 was non-detect. <br /> Additional soil was excavated to 17 feet beneath the east end of tank #5, and a soil <br /> sample taken (Lab I.D. L1517010). 7be lab results at 117 feet were non-detect. <br /> 4.0 PROPOSED RL-EXCAVA770N <br /> The excavation will consist of the removal of approximately 2,100 cubic yards (Figures <br /> 3, 4, & 5) Surface discoloration was found east of the fuel island, and this area will <br /> be incorporated into the excavation The area of excavation was positioned according <br /> to the sample locations (Figure 4) and will be acccmplished by conventional methods to <br /> 1 <br />
