El Dorado, Stockton CA <br /> Claim No. 013915 <br /> The Property was originally developed by Golden Gate Construction <br /> in conjunction with Atlantic Richfield Petroleum company. It was <br /> purchased in 1953, by Arthur Snell and Arnold Rue, It was subleased as a <br /> service station by a man named Dean Missner for six years. <br /> The original gasoline tanks were removed in 1974 by Atlantic <br /> Richfield. The facility was then converted to an automotive tune-tip shop at <br /> that time. The shop was operated as a tune-up shop by Brian Haines. The <br /> property was still owned during this period by A. Snell and A. Rue. <br /> In 1970, a divorce occurred between Arthur Snell and his wife Edith <br /> Anne Snell. As a part of the divorce settlement , Edith Anne Snell obtained <br /> Author's half of the property. At that point the partnership consisted of <br /> 112 Edith Anne and 1/2 Arnold Rue. <br /> On November 27, 1989, Arnold Rue died, leaving his half of the <br /> partnership to his wife Eileen Rue. On December 27, 1989 (one month after <br /> Arnold's death,) Edith Anne Snell died, leaving her one-half to be divided <br /> equally by her two daughters , Virginia Byford, (Mt. Vernon, WA) and <br /> Mary Jo Eustis (Stockton, CA) In 1991, Brian Haines retired from the <br /> business and Tom Bermudes, a new lessee took over. By 1994, it became <br /> clear that Mr. Burmudes was not a satisfactory lessee and his lease was not <br /> renewed, Mr. Michael Martini became the new leasee in 1995. <br /> The current owners of the property are still: Eileen Rue, ( one- <br /> half partnership), Virginia Byford (one-fourth partnership) and Mary Jo <br /> Eustis, (one-fourth partnership.) <br />
