(AGE) presents the following additions to the
Preliminary Work Plan for the site at 4032 North El Dorado Street, Stockton, California(the site),
dated 12 March 1999.
• Due to the detection of Poly chlorinated by-phenols (PCBs) in the former waste oil
underground storage tanks (UST) location on the site, selection soil samples will be analyzed
for PCBs.
• The historical lowest depth to the ground water table or the top of the unconfined water table
during the operation of the USTs on the site was approximately 75 feet below surface grade
(bsg). If hydrocarbons were release to this depth, the PHS-EHD has requested a vertical
assessment of the former water table Ievel (75 feet bsg). Current ground water table depth
is approximately 35 feet bsg. One soil boring from each UST area will advanced to 70 feet
bsg. If soil contamination is observed at a depth of 70 feet bsg in either or any boring, the
soil borings will be advanced until two consecutive soil samples have no hydrocarbon odor
or indication of petroleum impact.
• Additional soil borings will be advanced if the lateral impact to soil is not defined by the
proposed number of soil borings, on concurrence with the PHS-EHD.
• Also enclosed is an application for a drilling permit and permit fee.
Prior to any fieldwork AGE will we will schedule field operations and inspection 48-hours in
advance with your office.
4005 North Wilson Way, Stockton, California 95205
Telephone (209) 467-1006 FAX (209)467-1118
