Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
Subject: Telephone Conversation Regarding Addendum to Work Plan for a Subsurface
Investigation at ARCO Service Station No. 2130, 7906 North El Dorado
Street, Stockton, California.
Mr. Infurna:
As we discussed in our telephone conversation of December 4, 1991, we modified the vapor-
well construction to include factory perforated casing with 0. 10-inch slots in our Addendum
to Work Plan dated November 18, 1991. The vapor-extraction well construction discussed
in our original Work Plan dated May 177 1991 states No. 3 sand will be placed in the
annular place opposite the screen. Pea gravel, not No. 3 sand will be placed in the annular
space opposite the screen sections of the vapor-extraction wells for the proposed work
scheduled to begin December 16, 1991. Soil borings converted to vapor-extraction wells will
be terminated at 10 feet above ground water or when two consecutive soil samples with
photoionization detector readings below 50 parts per million by volume are collected below
25 feet below grade. The screen intervals will be selected according to field evidence of
hydrocarbons in soil from each boring. We also discussed that the vapor-extraction test will
be limited to one day. Please call if you have any questions regarding this letter or our
Addendum to our Work Plan.
Sincerely,
RESNA Industries
Eloise F.
