Stantec
Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report and Remediation Progress Report Second Quarter 2008
ARCO Service Station No. 2130
August22, 2008
AS System Operation and Performance
Equipment Inventory: Air compressor
Time Operational this Quarter 1 , 682 .6 hours / 75% uptime
March 24 , 2008 to June 25 , 2008) :
Time Operational since Hour Meter Installed 11 , 568 . 0 hours / 95% uptime
( February 6 , 2007 through June 25 , 2008) :
5. 0 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Stantec recommends continuing operation of the AS system and continuing with the current
monitoring and sampling schedule for the site . In the Site Conceptual Model and Results of
Additional Assessment, dated February 21 , 2008 , SECOR recommended initiating periodic
oxygen injection into the AS wells ; this work will be initiated upon regulatory approval . A review
of historical data shows that groundwater analytical concentrations have been low to non -detect
for at least four consecutive quarters in wells MW-3 through MW -5 , MW-7 , MW- 11 , MW- 12 ,
MW- 14, and MW- 18. Based upon these observations , Stantec requests that the frequency for
groundwater sampling be reduced in wells MW-3 through MW -5 , MW-7 , MW- 11 , MW-12 ,
MW- 14 , and MW- 18 from quarterly to semi-annually (first and third quarter) .
Ott
67
d
2130 QMR-QRPR 2Q08.doc 6
