This is to notify you that Section 25297.15 (a) has <br /> been added to Chapter 6.7 of the Health and Safety Code. This section includes <br /> a requirement that PHS/EHD (local agency) not issue a closure letter, or make a <br /> determination that no further action is required with respect to "hazardous <br /> substance" underground storage tank release sites unless all current record <br /> owner of fee title to the site have been notified of the proposed action by the <br /> primary or active responsible party. <br /> Please provide PHS/EHD certification in writing that all record fee title owners <br /> have been notified of your request for closure. Submit a list of all the record fee <br /> title owners with their mailing addresses to PHS/EHD so they can be notified of <br /> our intent to issue a closure letter. If you are the sole property owner, provide a <br /> statement of that fact to PHS/EHD, to fulfil this requirement.
