(AGE) on your behalf for the above-referenced site. In this work plan
AGE proposes to advance six soil borings to collect soil and groundwater samples to further
assess the lateral and vertical extent of petroleum hydrocarbon contamination onsite, and six soil
borings to collect soil gas samples to assess the potential for vapor intrusion inside onsite
buildings. AGE proposes to convert one of the two soil borings to be advanced to fifteen feet
bele«" surface grade (bsg), previously approved by EHD by letter dated March 1. 2006, to a five-
foot boring used to collect a soil gas sample.
Althout*h the total depth for the soil boring proposed to be advanced approximately 25 feet south
of monitoring well MW-1 was omitted from the work plan, EHD assumes the total depth to be
approximately 30 feet bsg. EHD approves this boring to 30 feet bsg and the five additionally
proposed soil borings for soil and groundwater collection as proposed in the work plan and shown
on Figure 2.
Soil samples collected at five-foot intervals and grab groundwater samples collected at first
encountered groundwater from the above-listed boreholes will be analyzed for total petroleum
hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g); total extractable petroleum hydrocarbons
quantified as diesel (IE;PH-d); benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX), methyl
tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE), di-isopropyl ether (DIPF), ethyl tertiary-butyl ether (ETRE),
tertiary-amyl methyl ether (TAME), tertiary butyl alcohol ('IRA), 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA),
and 1.2-dibromoethanc (EDB).
EHD also approves the advancement for Vour of the six proposed borings to approximately five
feet bsg for soil gas collection in Tedlar bags as follows:
• One boring located adjacent to the northeast corner of the garage.
• One boring located adjacent to and midway along the north side of the garage;'oftice
building.
• One horing located adjacent to and northeast of l-W-l.
• One boring located approximately ten feet southwest of EW-1.
