Broadway Ave.
Stockton, CA 95205
Mr. Barriga,
You contacted the City of Stockton Fire Department Fire Prevention Division in
regards to an inspection report received from the San Joaquin County Environmental
Health Department. In that inspection report it was noted that the inspector was unable
to confirm that the water supply system servicing the fire hydrants met water flow and
distance requirements for your specific business.
Water Supply System
The water supply system in the vicinity of your business was installed before
current water supply standards were in place. The distance from the closest fire hydrant
to your business is in the vicinity of 1000 feet. The City of Stockton Fire Department is
your responding agency in the event of an incident at your facility. Establishing a
reliable water supply and providing adequate fire flows to your business is well within
our capabilities in regards to pumping abilities and supply lines despite the excessive
distance to the nearest hydrant.
We will allow the continued operation of tire storage providing the following
conditions are met:
• The business is to maintain all storage, setback, quantity, and equipment
requirements as set forth by the California Fire Code. These requirements are
reflected in the inspection comment form received from the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department inspector.
Stockton
WCRY
I I if
1999
